Here is a message we got from a satisfied Mojave owner recently. By testing his tubes using our Amplitrex AT-1000 we were able to quickly isolate the problem, saving the customer time and money.
Here’s a clip from the Reverend Guitar forum that I posted recently concerning your help with my Scorpion, which by the way sounds FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!!!
Case in point. My dream amp, the Mojave Scorpion wasn’t firing the way I had hoped. Sounded damn fine, but I could tell it just didn’t fire on all eight cylinders. I could have gone the local route and took it to my amp tech here, but I fired off a couple e-mails to Mojave and Victor Mason the head cheese wrote me back. I decided to ship the amp to California for them to do a thorough check up as I plan on this being my main rig. Victor called me the day after he got it and gave me the low down. It had a blown pre-amp and power tube. My hunch was correct! He could have totally burned me for a whole set of tubes, but he only replaced both power tubes and the one pre-amp tube. The other preamps tested fine and had a lot of life left in them. He rebiased the amp and put in a cap to quiet the noise background. He only charged me for the new tubes, 45 bucks for labor and another 45 for the cap install and 37 for three day shipping! I could not be happier. For Christ sake, I bought the amp “used”, not even new from Mojave! He treated me just like Billy Gibbons who also plays a Scorpion! Honesty and integrity is what these people are all about. I’m just elated!
Thanks again Victor!
